Our Story
Lockdown, a phase where almost all the people are tired of cooking, singing etc. A phase, when all of us became unproductive to some extent, the creativity of us became dull and on such a scenario we, Ipshita Baruah and Kangkan Jyoti Bharadwaz decided to create a Page named @Sikshavriskh randomly. The next step is to get reviewers, We asked Puja Saikia and Lopamudra Dutta to be the part of it. The excitement they showed to this project was out of the box.Gradually the family of 4 turned out into a family of 9 including Bipasha Saikia, Raktim Hazarika, Anushree Dey, Sagorika Goswami and Abhishek Kabra. The hard work and dedication of all of them made the family of Sikshavriskh- শিক্ষাবৃক্ষ reach 2.5 K.
"Books are man's best friend" - We all believe in these words and we didn't want any student to even think of not competing in a competitive exam only because they don't have Books. Keeping this in mind we decided to go with the idea of open library but we are scared of executing the idea and then We contacted Dr-Pawan Chetri sir and expressed our views on it. With sir's guidence and the support of all the donars we finally on 2.10.2020 started our first library at Govt. Bezbarua Higher Secondary School, Golaghat. On this note We would love to thank the school's principal for giving us the permission of this open library.
We would love to inform you that we will keep this good work going on as far we can and hope at least 10 students get benefit from it. Let them use this library wisely.
The covid brought a big stay in everyones life, and education suffered the most. So help the students we came forward with the permission of inspector of schools we gave free classes
in different government schools.
Some wants to gain knowledge but is lack of resources and some people have the resources but don't use them. We decided to create a book donation camp to help the poor people and
remove the thoughts that poor people can't achieve their dreams due to lack of resources.
We donated 1000 books to Nobhonga bapuji school and 500 books to Komarbondha College.
Sikshavriskh, now has the vision of spreading the light of knowledge everywhere from opening street libraries to giving free classes and promoting our own mother tongue. We have a lot work to do in future. Thank you very much for your dedication, commitment and trust for us. Hope we will be able to be stand up in your expectations and will let knowledge shine everywhere.
